失智症患者，怎麼吃才正確？

好好吃是個大問題


一天三餐是每個人生活的基本需求，但對於失智症來講，好好吃頓飯卻可能是奢求。隨著短期記憶力的消失，患者常常忘記已經吃過飯，常常不斷的找東西吃，甚至覺得家人故意要虐待他而不給飯吃，也導致疾病初期體重失去控制的問題；相反的，中末期病患因為功能退化，甚至會忘記怎麼吃飯，所以體重反而快速掉落，並且有顯著營養不良的問題。

隨著失智症走向末期，患者的咀嚼與吞嚥功能會越來愈差，嗆咳與吸入性肺炎的機會也會大增。雖然中醫透過針灸和中藥提振患者的食慾、消化能力和吞嚥功能都有不錯的成效，但是如何正確的衛教家屬，用正確的方式準備餐點與協助患者進食，並且了解病患可接受且適應的口味及飲食的型態，是失智症照護非常重要的課題。


如何正確補充營養品？



此外，許多家屬會希望能幫患者補充營養品，除了常見的維生素以外，市面上也流傳著各種食品的療效，例如椰子油、薑黃等等，有別於中醫對於薑黃等中藥的理論與使用方式，張惠萍主任也會分享專業的營養學觀點。

目前失智症最主要是由西醫的神經內科與精神科兩個專科在治療，如果想要看失智症病患，無可避免的會跟這兩個專科的醫師打交道，如何跟他們合作愉快，一起進步開創更大的市場，是中醫失智症能不能做的好的關鍵。

黃醫師是國內少數有跟神經內科醫師一起開設失智症整合門診的中醫師，對於如何跟西醫合作有豐富的經驗，我們特地邀請他來介紹失智症的中西醫整合模式。
